Congratulations, Alicia!
This is by far one of our favorite things - pulling from our community to highlight an amazing person. This month we are celebrating Alicia!
Alicia has been coming up with ideas for inventions since she was young, but joined EN in 2013 after she was a live studio audience member of the Jeff Probst show when Betsy Kaufman appeared on 'Moms With Million Dollar Ideas'. How neat!!
Alicia was inspired by Betsy"s story, and got her very own set of of Eggies in the gift bag! That experience put her onto the path to try and realize some of her own ideas.
Along with being a great EN community member, Alicia is a mom, author, actor, entrepreneur and shoe designer - she is always creating something from nothing!
Alicia - "I think that being any sort of creative can oftentimes be a very lonely path, filled with critical self-doubt. I think that what sets inventors apart from the general population is their ability to take a pain point and say 'I won't accept this' and dream up new and better ways of doing things. It is anything from minor annoyances to life's great tragedies that will light that spark in you that turns into a wildfire. My advice to those feeling discouraged would be this - stay the path. I believe that everybody gets their day in the sun, and it's simply all in the timing. Sometimes, the world isn't quite ready for the vision."
Beautifully said, Alicia! Thank you :)
Alicia will also receive a free submission to Edison Nation for her next idea!
