Several years back someone posted about publishing a children's book, but I can't think of who it was. Anyone remember their name?
Thanks!

Kim, just google self-publishing. There's a lot of that going on, it's really big on Amazon. Think twice before paying for help. Just read a whole heck of a lot. |

Be cautious in asking for help if you are writing one of those "Self Help" Books |

Kim, I haven't been around this site for very long, so i'm not sure if this is the thread and/or person you were thinking of, but this is what a quick search yielded... |

Hi Kim, long time Hope you are welll. Besides Toni, Greg Myracle is an accomplished author. It may have been one of his posts. Have a great day and write a best seller. Aloha Charlie |

Thanks all for the replies. Douglas, the one I'm thinking of was more recent than that - I believe it was a man. I'm lousy at searching - which is why I usually die out at Stage 4. :/ Toni - from 11 years ago! Wow, I can't believe it's been so long. Whatever happened to her? She was in an inventing group too. Charlie, I didn't realize that Greg is also an author. What a guy!! I had no intention of writing anything but have written a bunch of songs... some day I'll get the music written to go along with them. Recently, I inadvertently wrote a children's book, and I like it so - what the heck, right? lol I'll contact Greg. Thanks y'all! |

So Kim, you "inadvertently" wrote a children's book huh? If you can do that, then you should be able to "inadvertently" come up with a G8 invention. I know you got it in you....just let it come out!!! It's funny that you post this at this particular time, because I'm looking to publish some stuff my son wrote that I "inadvertently" read one morning and thought was good enough to publish. We're planning to get this done this summer while school is out. |

That's awesome Derrick! If only the elusive G8 was that easy... sigh. Although I did come up with something last night that I will start researching. Always happens when I'm trying to go to sleep. :) My brother has a lot of artsy-fartsy connections and is looking at an illustrator for me. This should be fun! |

Hey Kim! Did you ever get your book published? :) William is right - it's super easy to self publish and way more lucrative. I'm in the process of publishing a course that's a complete step by step on how to do it yourself for free (or very, very low budget). You can figure it out yourself, but this is my condensed version of 6 years research and trial and error. LOL. I've published 2 books for my husband, 2 for myself and I'm contract publishing a book right now for a friend who just doesn't have the time to do it herself. My coursework will be available 10/1/19 but is in presale right now. If you're interested, you can message me for the link, because I'm not an Insider anymore. I have a Picture book that I just published for my daughter's birthday and it's a contender for the 2019 Kindle Storyteller literary prize. :) Good luck with your book!
