Many of you have asked us how Edison Nation might be able to help you achieve crowdfunding success. We’ve been working on perfecting our crowdfunding program over the past several months and we’ll soon be rolling it out in a much larger way.
I wanted to take the time to invite our very own in-house crowdfunding expert, Michelle Sartori, to join in on this thread and answer questions you might have about crowdfunding in general and more specifically, how Edison Nation can help you.
While we’re waiting for Michelle to join us, check out our latest campaign and be sure to watch the hilarious video for SnacDaddy!
While you’re there, we’re giving away a free Insider membership for a year and some free idea submissions. All you have to do is share the SnacDaddy IndieGoGo page on Twitter and Facebook to qualify. (Be sure to first log in — or create an account — at IndieGoGo or we won’t be able to track your shares.) For each person who purchases a SnacDaddy from your link to the IndieGoGo campaign, you will receive one credit. Whoever has the most credits at the end earns the free membership! In order to participate, you do not need to purchase a SnacDaddy (although who couldn’t use one!?!), you simply need to share it on your social networks.

Best commercial I have ever seen! Great job!

Ahahaha, “the bone hole”. Ill bet you guys had fun making that.

I’d like to know if an idea needs to be patented or patent pending to be considered for the crowdfunding program, and if not, does EN then patent a selected idea to protect the IP?
|
|
To all!
Thanks so much for taking a look at the video! We would love for you guys to share the campaign with your social media channels – remember, the more people who back the campaign from the links you send out, the more likely you’ll be to earn a free Insider membership or submission!
Hi Rachel,
We prefer to have ideas that are patented or patent pending, but we look at all ideas for this initiative. If your product is chosen, Edison Nation will file before the crowdfunding campaign goes live to protect the idea.
Thanks to everyone, share on and stay tuned for more news on this, and other campaigns.

Congratulations EN … fabulous new opportunities are at our fingertips !! Just a technical question for Michelle … I subscribed for the newsletter before creating an account and now when I try to create a new account the prompts tell me to use another email address … any suggestions to rectify ?? Maybe a quick email to you personally would have been more appropriate so I apologize if this question is unwarranted ….Thanks a bunch..

I just contributed. This crowdfunding is a great opportunity for us inventors to prove our concept and generate development dollars. I like this path EN is exploring. They are using their expertise to help where many of these campaigns fail, script / video production and promotion efforts.

Looks like wonderful new opportunities with Edison Nation!! Thank you Matt and Michelle!! :)

Hello to all!
Eric, thank you for the contribution!!!
Frank, you are correct, we are looking to reinvigorate the SnacDaddy brand with this campaign. Hoping to garner new interest in the product for a licensing deal. Thanks so much for sharing!
Patricia, sent you a private message hopefully to fix your issue.

Thanks for your answers, Michelle!

Does anyone know if the EN crowdfunding program still exists or was abandoned? I have an IT related idea that I think would do best down the crowdfunding route but have no idea where to start. I would prefer to involve EN and their talent versus going it alone.

|
Hi Curtis, Currently, the crowdfunding initiative is not active.
|
|
Thanks for the quick reply Michelle. Can you tell me if EN has had any success or potential interest in products in the enterprise IT ($500+) market? I normally submit ALL my ideas to EN but feel this one might be a more narrow market and more sensitive to the review process timeframe.

|
Hi Curtis, We have not done anything within this category of ideas to date.
