I would like to communicate with someone who is capable of telling me if certain design changes can be made to a DVD player.

DVD? That is some archaic tech going in the direction of VHS... You need to get out in front of Blue Ray and Streaming video perhaps even virtual reality to make a play in that arena. I would hesitate before devoting any resources in the direction of a DVD player. Now, if the key factor is that you are thinking of a product that the DVD player is the Base for... Well, perhaps you may have something, but Cable companies are in control there. Still would be hesitant.

I agree, DVD is not a market you want to spend time innovating in. However, I have no idea what your actual plans are and can only theorize that YES you can make design changes to a DVD player.

Ok, the DVD is an old technology, but it has advantages. If I give you a DVD of 1/2 to 1 hour video it only cost me 5 or 10 cents. You can play it, you can pass it on to someone. You don't need the Internet. Someone won't take it to overwrite the content when other much better write/rewrite devices are available. It's sorta like a book. Now the DVD player needs improvement if the DVD I gave you has educational video. That's where I'm at.
