I am beyond excited to be back with our community and part of this Amazing TV Show Everyday Edison's with my partner John Vilardi. I was fortunate enough to be a part of Everyday Edison's Season 5, 7 years ago for a different product my partner John Vilardi and I invented We are now filming the Emmy Award Winning TV Show Season 6 in North Carolina at two filming locations for a 5-6 day shoot. The experience I had filming Season 5 and Season 6 couldn't be any more different. What we get now and that includes everyone here in our community is a wealth of education from meeting with Mentors, Engineer's, I.P. people, Marketing, Branding and perfecting our presentation over the course of 6 days. All of this filmed and to be seen in February 2020 on Amazon Prime. I can't thank Lewis Foreman, Chris Ferguson, Michael Cable and his Amazing production staff enough for all their help and support along this Incredible journey. And I thank Aimee and Mia for great company, information and making this journey all the better. I will ask the 23 other inventors to stop by and introduce themselves today and tomorrow so everyone here will get to know them as I have over these last few days. Stay tuned! Marvin Blaine and John Vilardi

Very exciting news. Congrats Marvin and John
Hey Marvin. Great to hear from you. Congratulations on being a part of Season 6.
Congrats!! Looking forward!
Great to see you Fred, Derrick and K J! Missed you guys!!! Half our group of 24, 12 of us our presenting to the judges today and the other half presenting tomorrow myself included. The one's who are not in front of judges today will get to sit in a Starbucks type setting and watch our inventors pitch to the judges. We have 3 Judges. Lewis Foreman, Chris Ferguson and a surprise judge. Once aired you will see the education we received in each department which helps us all. Met Chris Ferguson yesterday for a brief second as he had just flown in. He walked in our room of 24 inventors and introduced himself and shook every one's hand. We were all very impressed. I'll be back to give you all updates and promise to get our 24 inventors to chime in and share their experience.
Sounds like you're really enjoying the experience. Good for you. I had not seen the Everyday Edisons prior. (No boo's please) Can all 24 participants have success?
Hi Jamie There are 24 of us presenting our ideas to the judges this season 6. There will be 3 Inventors per show 8 shows total. One of the 3 inventors will win for the show but the other 2 inventors can still get licensing deals, manufacturing or put in contact with a company to arrange a contract with so no one really loses. You can catch Season 1 - 4 of Everyday Edisons on Youtube. Great Watch!!!
Hi Marvin, Congrats on getting another shot on EE, got to go back and see you on season 5 for a refresher. Great experience, one question, does this season only include 24 inventors? If so hope there is a season 7.
Hi Jim You can catch Season 1-4 of Everyday Edison's anytime I believe on Youtube but the format has changed and in my opinion Season 6 is electrified. Although I was on Season 5 of Everyday Edison's about 6-8 months after the show was filmed they decided to use another platform so that season was not aired. Yes, Season 6 will include 24 Inventors. There will be 8 shows consisting of 3 inventors per show where 1 lucky inventor is chosen as a Everyday Edison. The beauty of Everyday Edison's is although one inventor is chosen per show if they like another inventors idea presented on that same show they will also move on the one or additional ones they like. All 24 inventors this week were highly educated on making a great presentation with newly found knowledge here at base camp thanks to the team and team work at Everyday Edison's. The staff here did an amazing job getting our ideas for products and or products ready for the spotlight. On National Inventor’s Day, February 11, 2020, which is also Thomas Edison’s birthday. Everyone who tunes in to Everyday Edison's Season 6 on Amazon Prime will get a education in Invention like I've never seen before in my 61 years of inventing. Jim my best guess is after this experience and once aired there will be a Season 7,8,9,10 and so on and so on. Thank You Emily Dings for your informative blog post.

I will second Marvin's summary of the past week - not sure I have ever met a more diverse, creative, sincere, talented group of people; every single inventor was passionate and committed. Additionally, the mentors, crew and staff went above and beyond to ensure questions were answered and preparation resources were readily available. All in all, a professional experience and I look forward to seeing the new episodes in February! On a personal note - I finally had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth Crouch in person. Elizabeth's positive energy is infectious and helped me through a number of the more stressful moments. She freely shared her knowledge and was relentless in her commitment to the success of others. Have a great week everyone----

That was one for the books! What a fantastic time with and incredible cast and crew.
Sounds like you guys had an amazing experience. I can't wait to see the show in Feb 2020.
Great job Marvin. Cant wait to see it..
Coming from my partner John Vilardi on this one, I'll take it :) You mean the show of course. My partner John built our prototype, produced a 3D animation and developed our sell sheet for the presentation. The best in the business. We met here on Edison Nation back in 2009 and have been like brothers and partners ever since. Ryan, great to see you here. Meeting you made the experience all the better. Derrick, your in for a real treat as well as the best invention education you will ever experience. February 11, 2020 is right around the corner and then it's show time. Great to be back in our community.

Great thread Marvin! It was such a pleasure meeting you on the set of Everyday Edisons. You are such a cool guy and soooooo Elton John!!! The entire experience with all the Inventors, Mentors, Crew, Judges , and the EN team was so amazing that I will never forget it. Like Ryan said, it was one for the books! Only wish that John was able to be there, too "( Hope to get to see you again soon! Can't wait 'til Feb 2020!!!
Elizabeth a.k.a Liz Your The Best!!! Loved meeting you and thank you for being the best mentor ever!!!. I'll take Elton but still feel I look more like Billy Idol meets Rod Stewart :} John my partner was there as i had him on my phone texting me a few times a day and loved every second of sharing this amazing educational journey with him. One of the Best experiences of my life being a part of Everyday Edison's Season 6. Production staff was over the top friendly, carrying, fun and supportive. *Special shout out to Michael Cable, Aimee and Mia! Liz ditto on hope to see you again soon. Feb 2020 is right around the corner.

Thanks Saletta - you too! Glad to be back! Happy Thanksgiving!

@Greg. Thx! And hope yours was wonderful as well!
How cool is this?! Can't wait to see the show. I have never met Greg in person, but I'm a big fan of Liz! Meeting her was like we had always been together. Super lady! Congrats to all!

Great seeing you Joseph and Thank You! Happy Holidays!
Hey Kim, It was so fun having dinner with you when I was in Houston! We couldn't stop talking and laughing, like we knew each other our entire lives! Fun!!! I finally got to meet Greg in Charlotte and he did not disappoint. Such a great guy, just as expected from knowing him online. He is truly a man with a heart of gold and a spirit of giving and kindness. He was an Inventor on the show but stepped in to help mentor some of the other Inventors. You will love him when you meet him. And I got to meet Marvin! Didn't know him before except for what I heard from John v., but loved him at first sight, so sweet and he really reminds me of Elton John, LOL! I'm hoping we can get the forums back up and running, missing the old days when we used to check the forums every hour to see what was going on here. Hi JOE!!!! Love you guys!!!
Hi Liz Elton John here :) Miss you! My best guess is once Everyday Edsion's Season 6 aires Febuary 11, 2020 on Amazon Prime our community will light up with healthy renewed interest and enthusiasm. I've missed our camaraderie here as well and now looking forward to seeing some of our old friends here and building new relationships. Happy Holidays!!!
Marvin, thank you so much for starting this thread. I was fortunate to be one of the 24 inventors chosen for Everyday Edisons, and it was quite a ride. It's been a while for me now to post in the EN forums. I was focusing these past couple of years trying to get a license agreement with one of our medical products and is the product I share on the EE program. It continues to be a work in progress, but meeting Louis Foreman and his excellent team was priceless! It was also so very fun to meet some of the people here from EN that I have known from our interactions here, but it was amazing to meet them in person! This inventing process has certainly been (and continues to be) a journey, and I am so grateful to have the support of everyone here. Likewise, I hope to be support for others as well. We're all in this together!
Great seeing you here Kerrie! Happy to have met you in person after all these years of being on the forums here on Edison Nation. Your a Superstar Kerrie!
Wow, I haven't seen Kerrie in the forums in forever! Glad to see you're still around and on the show. I suppose I better figure this amazon prime thingy out. I'm not on it, but don't want to miss out. I look forward to seeing it. :)
Kim, I know! It's been a while. Glad to be back involved. Love this community!
I'm not familiar with how videos work on Amazon Prime, is a new episode available weekly or are they released all at once? Does anyone know the exact date the first episode will be available?
C.R. I believe the Date is Feb 11.
How were you guys picked for the show? Was there a casting call and you had to present your idea to a different group of judges for pre-selection?
Got my remote control ready to go! How exciting!
Season 6 is going to be on Crackle.com in March. Season 4 is now available on Crackle.com. Catch it here: https://www.crackle.com/watch/6191
There seems to be a discrepancy here Marvin. You keep calling it Episode 6 and EN is promoting Episode 5. Hmmm. Either way, it's coming in March.
Apparently now Everyday Edison is going to be shown on something called 'Crackle'. What the heck is Crackle? What happened to Amazon Prime?
Crackle comes after Snap and before Pop. As far as I recall :)
I was going to say something similar Rodney. Crackle is what happens when you pour milk on your rice crispies. It's also what happens when you throw a log in the fire. :O
Check out the new Everyday Edisons searches! Woo-hoo!
I just watched some of season 4 on Crackle. We get it on Apple TV. It was great. Can’t wait for the new season in March!
Yeah williamj, I was wondering the same thing about what happened to the plan to air it on Amazon Prime. Something must have affected the initial plan to drive the change....scheduling issues (perhaps they couldn't get a prime time slot), audience reach issues....who knows. Whatever the case, we'll have to wait a little longer, but I'm glad it will be FREE....I don't have Amazon Prime (believe it or not). I don't believe that I even knew Crackle existed before yesterday. Free viewing should improve the potential reach of the show, which is a good thing. Hopefully it's being promoted well.
Hi Derrick I was on, filmed Season 5 back in I believe 2013 but it never aired. The new plan 7 months after filming was to look for a new platform to showcase inventors. I get why they are now calling it Season 5 for this new season to follow Season 4. 10 Million viewers on Crackle.com plus Everyday Edison's is getting a Hero Spot for the new season that will be on the home page so viewers won't have to search for it. Crackle.com is in the Top 10 streaming media servers.
Thanks Marvin for the background info to help explain how the show got to where it is today. Very helpful. Also, thank you for the good info on Crackle.
I’ve got one for you: Crackle, snap and pop is what I sometimes hear when I get out of bed in
the morning. But as my grandmother who lived to be 92 used to say, keep on living.
LOL
Good one Saletta. I can relate to that! Great advice from your grandmother to just keep on living.
Thank you Marvin for all of the updates! It was very fun to see the promo. I look forward to seeing all of my friends on Crackle!
The premiere of Everyday Edisons, Season 5! Streaming for FREE On Crackle!
Thx Aimee. How exciting!!! Popcorn and hot cocoa time! :)
Nice. I'm still binging on season 4 before I start 5. @marvin, as someone that's been on I have a question. What is the % royalty split for Everyday Edisons ? I've looked through lots of the site and cannot find an answer.
Hot cocoa and popcorn together, huh, that's an interesting combination Saletta. I like potato chips and ketchup together. Most people think that it's a strange combination, but a potato chip is nothing more than a crispy flat french fry.
