e is very overused and usually indicates an electronic/web only type of company. Enventys has more to offer than a website, so I would stick with the current one versus the new option.

Oh, definitely the current logo, but I agree that the en on the orange tends to wash away. The problem with the new option is that the extra e is not grounded and just floats in space causing one to wonder what in the world it has to do with anything. I realize you may be hoping to turn the e on the orange box into a recognized brand, but I don’t think it works. Thanks for asking……

I will give my honest opinion and pick neither. I know that sounds mean, but I just don’t like the orange square for some reason. I think it’s because it’s a square. Or maybe it’s because I like curvier designs rather than boxy? Not sure. If I had to choose between the two I would pick the old logo. I don’t understand the point of adding an extra “e” to the equation and it’s not connected to the word at all. Maybe if you extended the bottom of the “t” in the new logo like a lasso to catch the orange square? Ok, I’ll shut up now :)

Yeah, The new logo I get it as “enventys – outside of the box”, but it took me a awhile. Out of the two I prefer the old logo for the same various reasons mentioned above. Enlarging the “e” in the old logo is an idea with merit.

I have to agree with Patrice – neither one strikes me as fantastic and something that I will remember. Between the two, the current one flows better but I think I’d ditch the orange. Also, if the “en” refers to Edison Nation, then I might try “EN” and maybe parallel the fonts/style

Hi Alexa I think just using the e w/orange block is sufficient, If enventys is the mother company to EE and EN then the E logo could easily represent them all.

I’m gonna jump on the current logo bandwagon guys. I’m for leaning the first n to the left and adding “nventys” to the right of the new larger e in the square.

How about a combination if the two. 1)Leave the new, big e in the box, 2) have nventys’ after the big e in the box, ) change the orange to more of a redish orange, ) maybe tilt the box the other way to parallel with the n.

I think the orange in the logo works nicely in conjunction with the rest of the color scheme for the enventys website. It also works well with the rustic feel of the enventys office. “The Color Psychology of Orange Orange calls to mind feelings of excitement, enthusiasm, and warmth. Orange is often used to draw attention, such as in traffic signs and advertising."

I like the original logo more. The “en” within the orange box makes me think of the sister company “EN”. Look at the original logo at the bottom of this page. Now imagine it with the new version in its place. I feel the orange box would over power the black text “ventys”. The orange box’s size and juxtuposition creates tension between the 2 main graphical elements. The new version also provides alot of “dead space”, leading the eye to wander around in an elyptical clockwise direction. It seems to be confused with its self. Suggestions to original logo:

Celeste, I like the new logo you used for your avatar. Here it is: But this is always going to display whatever your avatar is, so if you change your avatar, this pic will change too. BTW, there are threads in the forum about how to include images in your posts. I don’t have a link to one of those forums, though.

PS: I like how Adam made the descenders on the T and Y appear in FRONT of the underline. If the underline is in front of them, they’re hard to read.

The Big E in the new one reminds me of Enron, I would definitely stick with the old one but possibly with a larger E. Hope this helps.

Orange is associated with anger, but then again so is red, and red logos do well with the public. It is not a color you see in logos too often, therefore that might be a good thing.

stick with the first one, but maybe have a stick man up under the block trying to push it or maybe have a stick man on the other end pulling up on the " S " kind of like he’s using a wheelbarrow….The square made me think of the whole “man trying to invent the wheel thing”

Keep the current one. I don’t like the “floating e” look of the second logo. The segmented “EN” on the first logo makes it much easier to read the logo and understand what you do.

Sorry but not crazy about either… what word are you trying to have people Focus on ?? then try turning the box where one point faces up ..etc.. over the word you want to highlight… and I agree another color might help it get noticed more… just my opinion.. :)

I like Cindy M’s entry, but I would like to embellish on that theme if I may? I feel the “E” without the “N” is like peanut butter without the jelly, the ying without the yang.EDISON is not the same without the NATION. So with that being said I would combine the “EN” together in a bold bright orange with a yellow hue in the background followed by “VENTRYS” in bold black lettering on a slowly spinning light bulb that possibly has a slight flicker. The bulbous part of the light bulb would have a mural of the globe transposed on it,signifying the global reach. As the bulb spins it descends ever so slowly into a box that represent the Edison Team building. As the bulb comes to a stop, six striking beams of light emanate from the bulb as it lights up and shines bright. On each beam the in-house capabilities would appear, bold and in black lettering,ENGINEERING, INDUSTRIAL DESIGN, WEB, ADVERTISING, BRANDING, and PUBLIC RELATIONS. Then one side of the box would open to reveal a stream of winning products that have been brought to market. Finally beneath the box a slogan would appear," WHERE IDEAS EVOLVE and INVENTIONS and INNOVATIONS SHINE BRIGHT’. Sorry if this is to long winded, I only hope Alexa you can see the vision {visual} it sounds elaborate but when executed I believe it would only take seconds, but I’m no pro,nor do I play one.
