Friday's Blizzard

chicagoinventor's Avatarg8_badge

Best of luck to the East coasters with the terrible blizzard coming on Friday. DC could have 30 inches of snow, yikes. Everything should pretty much be shut down along most of the coast. Everyone, stay safe by staying at home. Unless you work in health care or are a police officer, you job isn't so important that you have to make it in.

And that goes for the EN team, too- 1/2 inch of ice is possible in Charlotte. Southerners and icy roads go together like cranberry sauce and milk. Use Skype or Go To Meeting and review our ideas from home.

Keep warm everyone!

Daniel, my baby sister and family live in Fredericksburg, Va. about an hour out of DC. Im really concerned for them and all that are in the path of the snow storm. I hope all will be safe!

My parents used to live near Fredricksburg and I lived for a few years in the DC burbs. People out there can't drive in 2 inches of snow and definitely not in a blizzard. Tell them to stock up on food, and get the candles ready in case of emergency. Here's the checklist from Uncle Sam on preparing for a blizzard:

Thoughts and prayers going out to your family and all of those on the coast.

Thank you Daniel. They have prepared for the nor'easter has best they can. My sister even said she got the last two loaves of bread from the store! Ha.

I came across a cool satellite imagery from Nasa of the nor'easter! I'll share.

For those who want a view from NASA's live satellite (If it's dark, they are on the night side of the Earth, but it seems to move pretty quickly):

This was the satellite I was watching when I spotted all kinds of 'weird' stuff in space.
