In light of NASA’s recent tribute this month in honor of the Tuskegee Airmen, I wanted to pay a personal tribute to my uncle, Lowell Cleaver, one of the Tuskegee airmen who served as a pilot in WW2!
During his tenure, he would garner many accolades including Top Cadet in Aerobatics and Aerial Gunnery. Here’s his fascinating story through his daughter’s eyes:
I had the honor of singing at his homegoing service in 1989. I loved him so much. He was an amazing man and so proud to be a part of this amazing legacy.
