I'm soliciting the prayers of the EN community for Haiti and others affected by this devasting storm. My friend Carline, originally from Haiti, was led to return to her homeland to start an orphanage (www.childofhaiti.org) after the devastating 2010 earthquake. However, she just recently made a return trip to the states when the hurricane hit and has since learned that one of her three orphanages was lost; however, everyone made it out safely. We continue to pray for her, the Child of Haiti organization and hope that her efforts to rebuild will be successful. Her work there is amazing! We also pray for those affected by the storm in the states as well. May God protect, cover and keep everyone safe. Blessings.

My prayers for Carline and her business connection in Haiti, and her people, and the people of Haiti. Prayer changes things. And I appreciate your request for the prayers of the EN community on this important matter. I will pray and continue to lift up your cause before the Lord. Berris

My prayers are lifted for your friend and all those affected by Hurricane Matthew. I am so happy all the children of the orphanages are safe. Praying for the safety of everyone in the Carolinas and the other states in Mat's path (especially my aunt and uncle in South Carolina and all our EN family in both states). May God bless you all and keep you safe. Amen. -|-

A heartfelt thank you to all and yes Berris, I am a firm believer that prayer changes things. Kathleen and Elizabeth blessings to you both and Elizabeth, I will pray for your concerns as well and our EN family. WilliamJ how generous of you in word and in deed! The good thing is God knows your heart and accepts you just as you are. Bless you. Carline doesn't even know I've posted this. She will truly be appreciative and is a powerful prayer woman herself. What an awesome community! Blessings!

I'm not big on praying, but for what it's worth, my prayers are with everyone affected. My parents live in Brevard county. But they happened to be on a cruise in the area. I'm sure they're ok. But I understand they'll have a heck of a mess to clean up when they get home. It's funny how some things never change. When I was in high school they would return from vacation to a big mess as well. The only difference now is that I won't get grounded for having a party while they were away!

Prayers for your friend Carline, and all others affected by this hurricane. Glad that everyone was able to make it safely out of the orphanages.

I just heard from my parents. They're ok, so thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Interestingly, they're stuck on the cruise ship. The ship can't dock until the port is declared safe. But at least they're safe.

Hello to all, In the Charlotte area, we had wind and rain but were not strongly affected by the storm. Our friends on the coast are dealing with power outages and flooding. Our thoughts go to all who were affected and Saletta, thinking of your friend Carline! Stay safe everyone!
