Many ideas

inventure's Avatar

I come up with ideas all the time as im sure the rest of you do too. I have held on to many of them for years now and decided that i better put them to use. Any advice?

I have already been in contact with "idea design studio" and they seem like great help, but come across almost needy. I was told right off the hop that the need $$$. If i had the $$ to fork over i could probably invest it in myself. They spoke of websites and logos and other sh!t when all i want is a patent and prototype! I mean im not a genius but should these come first? (Retoricle)

Any advice is appreciated thanks!

Hi Travis!

If you are interested in submitting your idea to Edison Nation to be evaluated for potential licensing opportunities, you are welcome to do so via our secure online submission system. We do not require a patent or prototype to evaluate ideas.

To learn more about our process and how we work with innovators, please visit the Edison Nation Help Page.

I'll defer to others in the community on costing for prototype work.

Best of luck!

I would stay away from Idea Design Studio located in south Florida, they are a rip-off, scammers and a few other choice words. I would guess you either spoke with a Jake Way or Edward Lakatis? I lost almost $10,000.00 to them, i had mattel, NBC sports, CBS sports, ProGames Network, Rawlings, 3 media companies and about 15 more companies in the sports industry interested in my product. The problem was everyone wanted to see a prototype which was supposed to be taken care of Idea Design Studio(guaranteed they would pay for prototype), found out the prototype was going to be around $80,000.00 to build. After that they would not return my calls and i had to tell all these companies i could not come up with the money for the prototype. That was in 2007, and to this day my product falls into an industry that does over 10 billion a year and no one has come close to anything like it. At that time they went by Invention Support as the company name, with an address of Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Now they go by Idea Design Studio out of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale, Florida but may still use the Royal Palm Beach address, i also saw a post with a company called theinventorsplatform.com that had a Loxahatchee, Florida address, Loxahatchee, Fl., and Royal Palm Beach, Fl. are cities that are side by side in Palm Beach County Florida so they may be connected just using different names. Invention Support had many many complaints with the BBB and solved none of them, they just changed their name, i got lucky finding them under Idea Design Studio, told them i had an idea, they were interested until i told them who i was, never heard from them again. Hope this was helpful for you.
