wittyinventor's Avatargold

I just got my March 2019 issue of Inventor's Digest and was delighted to see our Elizabeth Crouch on the cover!   Her article on "Tears and Triumph" outlining the process surrounding her cupcake rack product is enriching.  What perseverance can do!  CONGRATS Liz and TREMENDOUS success!

She sent me a copy and she did a great job!  Loved reading her story. Heartbreak and success, blood, sweat and tears.  She is one of the strongest, inspirational people I know...and I'm proud to say, I know her!

Great Job Liz!

Thank you Saletta and KC!  I just saw this post today!

I really appreciate Inventors Digest doing my story, Louis for all his help, and the love and support from my dear friends here at EN.  You know, you guys were all going through all my stuff with me and I don't know what I would have done without all the love and support.  I will never, ever forget...

I can't believe how many years have gone by since our story began.  LIttle Roy is almost seven years old and about to begin 1st grade!  He is still the loving, compassionate little angel that God let us keep after the assault.  I still thank Him every single day.  And if you read our story, or at least the Editor's Notes, in the March issue of Inventors Digest, you saw that we also had a scare with my granddaughter Brooklyn.  She had a very rare tumor in her jaw.  God answered our prayers again and it ended up not being cancer or potentially recurring.  Thank the Good Lord again.

It's nice to occassionally check in here to see what's up with our EN family.

Hope everyone is doing well!!

xx

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Liz.  There is such power in being open and vulnerable, and in need of prayers and support.  It was a privilege to live it out with you real time, and you and Little Roy will always have our love and admiration!

Thanks guys,

My Edison Nation family will always hold a piece of my heart as you all went through the most difficult days of my life with me.  The love and support I was given from each and every one of you helped me get through our darkest days.

Little Roy is in first grade now and doing pretty well, I mean everything that he does is truly a miracle as other children that have been assaulted as he cannot talk, walk, eat, anything.  However, with his daily seizures we are facing the possibility of brain surgery again in the near future, complete removal or disconnection of the right hemisphere.  I'm scared to death for several reasons, any surgery is scary, but since the right side of his brain is basically dead, we're hopeful his seizures will end and perhaps see improvement in speech.

Anyway, prayers are welcome as we know God listens and definitely answers.  I mean, look at William...talk about answered prayers!!!

Love you guys!

Liz, a friend's grandson had that surgery recently - he had a cluster of blood vessels in his brain that bled and caused seizures.  From what I heard, the surgery worked well.  He is having other issues now though, so I'll try to find out if it's related to the surgery or something else.  Every case is different, of course, but I always prefer to get all the info I can.  Also, the longer you wait, the farther along technology progresses, so there could be a great new therapy on the horizon.  I think we can all pray for that!

By the way, you didn't mention the fire in that article - or maybe they cut it out?  Just another ant hill in life for this strong lady to mow over....
